Looks like a little rain in the forcast

The rain chances seem to be improving daily, thank goodness.
I decided by the end of last week it was time to give up watering. With the system I have I can't possibly put down enough water to keep the crops going under these extreme circumstances.Thankfully,
looks like Mother Nature is going to step in and help out.

As Farm Foodie stated last week in the blog you can now have some adventure time on the farm harvesting your share. Maps can be picked up at the counter in the Feed Barn retail store during store hours, to guide you to some of the more productive fields.

Please come only once a week for your adventure and DO NOT go through any closed gates (pasture areas and barn). DO NOT climb fences, rusty scratches are not fun or healthy, and STAY OFF the equipment. I've had enough repair bills and smashed toes for one year.

The last few years were extremely challenging with all the issues Jim and I faced, and have brought me to the decision to end the CSA/farm operations and focus, for now, on the retail business. It has been thoroughly enjoyable servicing all the members through the 14 plus years and getting to know so many good people, so supportive and committed. Keep backing the small farmers. They are driven to doing it right with not a lot of pay off for their labor other than satisfaction deep within themselves of the job well done at the end of the day, AND a good night's sleep.

Hopefully, I will see you on the farm a few more times this year.

Thank You,

Linda
